First-floor half bath addition

A customer with mobility issues could no longer manage the stairs, so he needed a bathroom on the first floor. We built a new half bath into the corner of the living room, from the first day of demo to the finished room.

The job

Stairs were getting to be too much for this customer, so the answer was a half bath right on the first floor. The work started in a corner of the living room: the old wall paneling came off, the new bathroom walls were framed up, and the room was finished with a new door, fresh paint, recessed lighting, a toilet and vanity, and grab bars for support.
